How Do I Apply?
Please complete the online application by clicking here. A complete application consists of: the application itself, counselor recommendations, income verification, and a copy of an updated transcript, and scholar essay. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee admission into the Upward Bound Program. An interview with the student and parent is the final step of the application process after the application has been submitted. Our team members will reach out to the parent once all documents have been recieved.

Who is Eligible for Upward Bound?
The Clark Atlanta University Upward Bound Program is available to high school students (grades 9-12) enrolled at one of the following high schools:
Maynard Jackson High School
Carver Early College High School
Carver STEAM Academy
South Atlanta High School
KIPP Atlanta Collegiate
Additional eligibility requirements include the following:
· Must be U.S. citizen or a permanent resident of the United States.
· Must be from a family that meets the federal income guidelines determined by the Department of Education and/or a potential first generation college student (neither parent has completed a four-year college degree.)
· Must be enrolled in one of the three schools listed above.
· Must have a desire to participate in all program activities and be willing to work hard.
· Must be committed to attending college.
